A Fox News host has quit their role after four years serving as a reporter for the network.
Heather Sullivan, a consumer reporter at FOX 26 in Houston, Texas, revealed that Friday, February 6, was her final day on air as she officially left the station.
She said her goodbyes on-air alongside anchors DaLaun Dillard and Denise Middleton, admitting that her decision to leave had been a difficult one. She said, “It was a very hard decision to make. I love all of you guys. I take all of you with me in my heart — the friendships I’ve made here and also all of the amazing opportunities that I’ve had.”
She also revealed that she had accepted “a wonderful opportunity” for a news anchor and consumer reporter position in another market. Further details of her new role are yet to be revealed but she did hint that it will be broadcasting later in the day as she will “not have to get up early.”
She said, “Houston has been an amazing place to be, and I really cherish my time here and all of you — especially.” Her goodbye broadcast also saw a recorded message from Melissa Wilson, the station’s morning anchor and medical reporter who is currently off the air recovering from surgery, play out to wish her well.

Sullivan first joined FOX 26 in February 2020 appearing on Houston’s Morning Show and across multiple FOX 26 newscasts. She hosted her Smart Sense segments to help guide others on consumer advocacy, aiding Houston families with money saving tips, while steering them away from scams and rip-offs.
Prior to her role in Houston, Sullivan covered business, consumer and political issues at NBC12 WWBT in Richmond, Virginia. She also worked as a national consumer correspondent for America Now for four years, with her investigative reports airing nationwide.
Sullivan graduated from Emerson College with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and political communication, she also holds a master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
