Fox News halted its latest program to share a new finding in the search for Nancy Guthrie.
It’s been 12 days since the 84-year-old mother of Today’s Savannah Guthrie went missing from her home just north of Tucson, Ariz. She was last seen at the property on January 31 at around 9:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, February 12, Fox News shared an update on the FBI’s investigation and their search of the surrounding areas of the property. Correspondent Matt Finn said, “Yesterday, investigators found a black glove about a mile away from Nancy Guthrie’s home on Campbell Avenue, which is a busy street that connects to Nancy’s neighborhood.” This comes after an ex-FBI agent revealed the hidden codeword that Savannah used in her message to the kidnappers.
He continued, “This type of clue could ultimately offer critical DNA evidence.”
The development came days after the FBI released footage from Nancy’s Google Nest that shows a potential subject wearing dark gloves as he walked up to her front door. Along with the gloves, the subject was also wearing a zip-up hoodie, a pair of sweats, a backpack, and a balaclava.

Fox News confirmed there are no known suspects before switching over to Lawrence Jones’ conversation with Eric O’Neill about the FBI’s use of next-generation identification software to help identify the armed suspect.
The former FBI counterintelligence operative said it “allows law enforcement to take an image of a suspect and then run it through a large database to find a potential match.”
The system registers and analyzes several details, such as the “depth and size of your face.”
After sharing details about the AI software, he pointed out a hidden detail about the released footage.
“When a Nest camera records that video, it is also recording audio at the same time,” Eric said. “I would bet that they have that audio, and because that particular ring has a battery, it’s very possible that as that criminal carried the ring camera with him, it recorded additional audio after he ripped it off the wall.”

Concern first grew Sunday morning when Nancy failed to attend her local mass on Sunday, February 1. The Pima County Sheriff’s office has since deemed her home a “crime scene” after discovering concerning evidence inside the property.
Officials believe she was abducted during the night, suggesting she did not “voluntarily walk out of her home.
“We do believe that Nancy was taken from her home against her will, and that’s where we’re at,” Sheriff Chris Nanos admitted.
Savannah broke her silence on the matter on Monday, February 2. Since then, Savannah has remained persistent at finding her mother, with her latest plea posted on Monday night.
She shared a video on Instagram, saying her family believes Nancy “is still out there.” She also urged her followers to report anything “strange” to the police.
The anchor ended the clip with a plea, “We are at an hour of desperation, and we need your help.”
Savannah has been in Arizona with her siblings, assisting the authorities in their search for her mother. Savannah has been absent from work since Monday, February 2, and has also pulled out of hosting NBC’s 2026 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony, which began in Italy on Friday, February 6.
